Propolis : From nature to Fight Infection

Propolis is one of amazing apiary product. Propolis has the ability to fight infection, increase the speed of healing, tissue regeneration, and provide a source of energy.

Propolis can be defined as a resin material collected by honeybees from plants. Propolis shaped sticky material that is naturally used bees to close loopholes and cracks in the bee box, besides the goal to prevent intruders entered also to prevent infection. Before used in mixing the honey bee hive sap obtained from this plant with nectar that is released from within himself and finally mixed with a mixture containing wax, pollen and bee bread. For this reason, chewing lumps of resin derived from trees will not provide the same therapeutic effect with propolis. Bees need to change the resin into Propolis and bee only knows how.

Propolis: Active Substances

One of a leading writer about Propolis said, "19 substances with different chemical structures found in Propolis this far." These include compounds such as flavonoid and isovanillin betulene.

Propolis: Vitamins and Minerals

According to researchers at the Second Leningrad Scientific Confrence on Application of Apiculture (bee culture) in Medicine, Bee Propolis is rich:

  • Vitamin A (carotene)
  • Vitamin B1
  • Vitamin B2
  • Vitamin B3
  • Biotin
  • The composition of flavonoids
  • Albumin
  • Calcium
  • Magnesium
  • Iron
  • Zinc
  • Silica
  • Potassium
  • Phosphorus
  • Manganese
  • Cobalt
  • Copper
Note: Propolis contains more than 500 times bioflavonoid found in oranges.
Except for vitamin C, propolis has all kinds of vitamins are known. Of the 14 types of minerals that are needed by the body, Propolis has everything except sulfur.

Propolis consists of 50% - 70% resin and balsam, 30% - 50% of wax, 5% - 10% bee pollen and 10% essential oil.

As with royal jelly and bee polllen, propolis also contains an as yet unidentified compounds that synergistically create a perfect balance, a useful substance.

Propolis: character

Antibacterial, antiviral, antibiotic, antifungal, anti-inflammatory, antioxidant.

Propolis: a natural antibiotic without side effects

Propolis has the ability to fight infection and simultaneously boost the immune system: something that is not owned by synthetic antibiotics.

Propolis and viral infection

We all know that it is difficult to kill or even incapacitate the virus. Propolis doing something completely different to prevent the virus to reproduce and infect the body. Consider the following statement:

"Bioflavonoids in propolis has a protective effect against virus infections. The explanation is thus covered by the virus coat protein. Over the mantle is not damaged, dangerous materials in them remain imprisoned and not dangerous for organisms. We have found that the enzymes that naturally break coat protein was blocked at work; so that the virus material remains locked in it. In Propolis' effect, the ability to fight viruses or phagocytosis is enhanced . Virus-fighting protein content, properdin, began to increase in the blood. "
